The Government has officially terminated the appointment of Ms.Victoria Hammah as the Deputy Minister of Communications.
This follows a leaked tape on which a voice, alleged to be that of Deputy Communications Minister Victoria Hammah, is heard telling an unidentified female friend how the minister of gender, children and social welfare, Mrs. Oye Lithur, played an influential role during the supreme court petition verdict in Ghana and went on to insist that she will not quit politics until she makes at least US$1m during her tenure as the deputy minister.
The minister of information and media relations, Mahama Ayariga confirmed this to the media in Accra this morning and stated that the government will soon make a statement regarding some of the comments purported to have been made by Ms. Hammah.
